Photo Essay:World Stage Jazz Workshop

The World Stage is a non-profit organization that was found by poet Kamau Daaood and renowned drummer Billy Higgins. It was opened on June 1, 1989 and located in Leimert Park Village. The World Stage is served as a bridge to the public to access African American culture. It is an educational and performance art gallery where artists and writers can share their skills and wisdom. The stage also coordinates a full schedule of workshops and performances every day, including Saturday classes both for children and adults.
